Last weekend before the holiday

Well a year nearly over where did it go. Wishing every one a happy Christmas and a New  year.

Late in the year

This is the time of year that i am preparing for the Harrogate woodworking show. www.skpromotions.co.uk Will be attending 3 days.
Now is the time I can look into trying new methods with my work. Still not much spare time at the moment, lots going on, oh well I will have a few day off in December.

Workshop

Over the last few weeks I have been changing my workshop round to give me a better working environment and to make better use of the space, this has worked out well.

Looking now at 2013

I am have been taking bookings for October 2013 for demonstrating my skills at woodturning clubs, this will mean I will be away for a few days from my workshop. I have a few projects to be completed in the meantime.

This weekend I will be demonstrating for 3 day at the Deer Shed Festival 3. this is the  2nd year I have been asked back. Good music and entertainment while I am turning what more could I ask for.

Well what a nice week, is this summer, lets wait and see.

Just finished running a 2 day Course, the gentleman was very happy with his items he made, now going to buy a lathe and tools.
My 2013 year planner is filling up, now have bookings for demo at several clubs in the UK. Enquires welcome.

Wet turned Hawthorn. Turned a few weeks ago and dried slowly to slow the movement down, but now ready to place in the gallery.

Been a week for demonstration bookings. My year is filling up and lots of work to finish and to start. I am writing more articles on woodturning be which will  be seen later this year.

It been a busy 2 weeks running courses and making stock for this year. Spent 2 days cleaning up and sorting piles of timber and offcuts out, so back to turning today.

In the workshop today taking photos for articles which will be published in a magazine.
I will not see the finished articles i am working on now until mid summer. I will put a post up when the articles come out in the magazine.

This is Monday 16th Jan at Red Rose woodturning club.

The demo was about using wet timber. A very friendly club to demonstrate to.
